Our client at 24Staff is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join an ongoing data platform project. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Databricks or similar technologies, solid data engineering fundamentals, and good English communication skills to collaborate directly with international stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on Databricks or similar data platforms.

• Develop and optimize data workflows, ensuring performance, reliability, and data quality.

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions.

• Implement best practices for data modeling, data governance, and data lifecycle management.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing data infrastructure.

• Communicate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.

Job Requirements

Must-have

• At least 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks or equivalent technologies (e.g., Spark, Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure Data Factory).

• Solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals: data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing concepts, and workflow orchestration.

• Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing.

• Experience with SQL (complex queries, performance tuning).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Good English communication skills — able to communicate directly with international clients.

Nice-to-have

• Experience working in Agile teams.

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data pipelines.

• Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and security standards.
